Faith Formation at Our Lady of Lourdes
Why Faith Formation?
The mystery of Catholicism and of Faith is best unraveled with the pursuit of life-long learning. Just as we graduate from one level of school to the next, our need to learn and grow, and to deepen our relationship with Lord never stops.
Our Lady of Lourdes offers formation for children, youth, young adults, and adults. Please look below for more detailed information about each program.
Faith formation at every age of life is intended to deepen the spiritual life of a disciple. The faith of the Catholic Church is shared and passed onto successive generations through Sacred Scripture and Tradition. Through the practice of the faith, we become identified with and pursue a way of life that is one of discipleship. We are followers of Jesus Christ.
"At the heart of catechesis we find, in essence, a Person, the Person of Jesus of Nazareth, the only Son from the Father....Catechesis aims at putting people in communion with Jesus Christ; only he can lead us to the love of the Father in the Spirit and make us share in the life of the Holy Trinity." CCC 426
Our faith formation programs for children, youth and adults focus on developing a life-long relationship with the Lord, living as disciples, with a deepening understanding of Scripture and Tradition, in service to God and the community. For more information, contact Ashley Ell at [email protected] or 919-861-4641Interested in helping with our children or teen faith formation programs?Children's Faith Formation
